|
| On our first day we will hit Disney’s first park outside of the United States. Here we visit those old favorites, like It’s a Small World to Thunder Mountain. Also see Japanese takes on Frontierland and Main Street USA. Or you may decide to go to Disney Sea and its seven ports of call. |
| Today will be spent in two areas of Tokyo,
Asakusa Bashi
and Kappa Bashi Dori. At Asakusa Bashi, you will find goods
ranging from
paper products, like wrapping paper, washi paper, and bags to stamps
and
origami. They also have a wide selection of bead shops. We will also visit Tonyagai, which has shoe

Dori, a
kitchen wholesale district, where you can find everything from plastic
food to
the kitchen sink. |

Puro land and Sugamo |
Our first stop of the day is Puroland. This amusement park is dedicated to Hello Kitty and all her friends. From there we will head to Sugamo. Also known as the old people's Harajuku for its fashion sense, Sugamo is a discount clothing area. |

Kamakura / Yokohama / Kamata City
|
We will hop on the train to visit one Japan’s oldest cities, Kamakura. There we will see the famous Great Buddha. Built in 1252, this 40 foot Bronze Buddha has been in the elements since 1498, when a tsunami washed away the home it resided in. From Kamakura we head north to Yokohama, where we will visit the Ramen Museum. Here you will learn how it is made, along with the regional difference found across Japan. We continue north to our final destination, Kamata City which has specialty handcraft stores. There is Yuzawaya, a crafter’s dream store. Everything beads to cords can be found in this area. |
| October 10 (Fri) |
Funabashi / Akihabara / Ameyokocho
|
| In the morning, we will head to Funabashi, a seven story 100 yen store, with over 70,000 square feet of showroom on display. It is Japan’s largest 100 yen store. From there we will head to Tokyo's electric town, Akihabara. Here the latest electronics can be found alongside costumed figures from Japan's animation history. For our last stop we will explore Ameyokocho, a food wholesale area where we can find everything from candies and cookies to dried seafood. |
